Essay
Ann Blackwell graduated with an MFA in Michigan. Her subject matter dealt with violence towards women and works were created principally in photography and fabric arts. She immigrated to Canada in her retirement, devoting her creative works to more whimsical subjects, using recycled materials. She taught crafts in Maple Ridge, B.C. inspiring many beginning artists to think creatively and imaginatively.
