Biography
Melissa H. Clarke holds degrees in Studio Arts, Anthropology and Education from UBC and a diploma in Visual Arts from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Her work can be found in numerous private collections in Canada, the US, the Netherlands and Australia. In 1997, she began Acorn Art and Image, which offers photography, music lessons and art education to the public.

Essay
Topophilia, or a strong sense of and affection for a particular place, seems to guide much of Melissa H. Clarke’s artwork. She works in a variety of mediums from paints to clay to hand pulled prints. She thrives on self-exploration.
